Sea Turtle Nesting Beaches

Learn about two important places for sea turtles in Nicaragua:

Padre Ramos Estuary: Located in the Northwestern corner of the country, this protected area is home to critically endangered hawksbill turtles.

San Juan del Sur: The southern Pacific coast has several nesting beaches including La Flor, an arribada beach where thousands of olive ridleys nest at a time.
